The 2nd Blessing by Holy Spirit.

Why do we sometimes meet a problem, yet we often are very happy with it, we feel full of power to get over the problem, the reason is that the Holy Spirit is changing things and sorting out the problem. How do we need to behave to have more of this actity of the Holy Spirit? How do we need to experience this activity of the Holy Spirit? Why do we need more of the activity of the Holy Spirit?
The problem is that for many Christians have received fellowship with God and forgiveness, but do not give the Holy Spirit freedom of work in their lives, He is restricked to only a few rooms of our life.

God does not offer the Holy Spirit just to be restricted by us, God knows that each of us is baptised into the family of God when we accept the forgiveness, through Jesus. But He also wants us to give the Holy Spirit freedom to all parts of our life, we should be filled with the Spirit.
God first gave the disciple the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:3,4

"3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance."

Here we see the Holy Spirit is taking over the full lives of the disciples in the room, but what else do we see in the passge. They were baptised by the Holy Spirit but also it was a "command from God not a promise to be given"

Other locations.
Luke 4:1

The Temptation of Jesus, the Holy Spirit is in command.

"1 And Jesus being full of the Holy Ghost returned from Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness,
2 Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. "
God was controlling the situation. Acts 6:2,3
"2 Then the twelve called the multitude of the disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
3 Wherefore, brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business."
They needed people who would take over the daily running of the church, God supplied them through the Holy Spirit. Then at the death of Stephen, he gives them the history of the Nation but they do not listen. Acts 7:54,55
"54 When they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed on him with their teeth.
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God."

We should be filled with the Spirit. Ephesians 5:17,18

"17 Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.
18 And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;"

We must notice that it is not a promise but a command by God, "be filled with the Spirit." There is only one thing we must notice, we cannot do this it has to be done by God, we must give God the full of our life for Him to do this. We need Him to control the action, but it is not just one time, it is many times in our lives, as He sees fit. We all have one baptism into the family of God, but this will go on many times, many blessings, we are often filled with the Spirirt as required by God, there will be no struggles over problems.

This seems a simple task to do but we still have our old nature and this does its best to stop it happening, we will not be free from this until we are with the Lord in heaven, but it should be easier every time we do it. Paul also suffered, Romans 7:17-20..

"17 Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me.
18 For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not.
19 For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do.
20 Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me."

It is the desire of God that we are filled with the Spirit, just remember it is a command from God for all.
